After School Program for Volunteers
We provide volunteers with a safe and comfortable residence during your stay.
This space is designed to help you rest, recharge, and interact with fellow volunteers and team members, fostering a sense of community, exchange of ideas, and cultural understanding.
Given that we operate on a limited budget with a focus on serving our target, the cost of accommodation is covered by the volunteers. This enables us to keep our mission moving forward.
Accommodation Cost: (Individual person) 150 Euros per week, which covers the following:
Groups (depends on the number of people)
● Accommodation: A comfortable place to stay during your volunteer period.
● Meals: Daily meals to ensure you are well-fed and energized.
● Support and Guidance: Assistance in multiple languages, including German, Spanish, and English, provided by our ambassadors for any questions or advice you may need before you decide to come.
● Invitation Letter & Documentation: We provide an official invitation letter and any necessary documents for your work or CV, ensuring your participation is well-supported.
How Your Contribution is Used
Your contribution, which includes the payment for your stay and meals, plays a crucial role in sustaining our NGO and advancing our programs. Here’s a breakdown of how your contribution is allocated:
1. Sustaining the NGO: The funds enable us to continue our activities, renovation, expanding programs and services that directly benefit the community.
2. Operational Expenses: Part of your contribution covers essential operational costs, such as materials, utilities, and staff salaries, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
3. Job Creation: Your support helps create job opportunities with us, providing a stable income for families within the community, and within our team.
4. School Supplies and Uniforms: We use part of the funds to provide students with necessary school materials and uniforms, ensuring they have the resources needed to learn and succeed.
5. Exams and Educational Support: Your contribution helps cover the costs of exams and training for those who cannot afford them, ensuring that education is accessible to everyone.
6. Meals and Accommodation: The funds also go towards providing meals and maintaining accommodation for volunteers, ensuring a comfortable stay and allowing us to keep our operations running.

Volunteer Opportunities

A Typical Day in the After School Program
Each day in our After School Program provides a balance of academic support, personal development, and engaging activities in a welcoming and supportive environment.
3:00 PM – Arrival & Homework Help & Tutoring
Our dedicated team of volunteers and mentors assist students with their homework, reinforce key concepts, and provide academic support to keep them on track.
4:00 PM – Enrichment Activities
Students participate in hands-on workshops that nurture creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking:

5:00 PM – College & Career Readiness (Selected Days)
Older students receive mentorship, career guidance, and college preparation, including scholarship assistance, essay writing, and resume-building sessions.
5:30 PM – Group Reflection & Wrap-Up
Students gather for a short reflection session, discuss their experiences, and set goals for the next session before heading home.

I enjoyed a team of wonderful people at the most magical beach and property.
From the beginning of December until mid-February, I had the incredible opportunity to be part of the NimbleGrowth organization, contributing to a meaningful project—the construction of a school and library building. Prior to our arrival, we organized a fundraising campaign to support this initiative, and once on-site, we worked hand in hand with the local team to purchase materials and bring the vision to life.
From day one, the collaboration with the local team was incredibly warm and welcoming. Over time, we became more than just colleagues—we became a family. The work itself was both productive and enjoyable, filled with moments of laughter, shared meals, and, of course, music that kept the energy high. There was a sense of creative freedom in our approach, allowing us to contribute not just through physical labor but also by bringing in our own ideas and solutions, rather than following a rigid work schedule.
The support provided by NimbleGrowth was outstanding. Whether we actively sought help or not, the team was always attentive, ensuring that we felt comfortable, safe, and valued. Their hospitality went beyond the construction site, making our stay a truly enriching experience.
Weekends were entirely ours to explore and enjoy—whether it was venturing into other towns, immersing ourselves in the beauty of Ghana’s diverse landscapes, or simply unwinding at the breathtaking local beach, surfing and soaking in the sun. The balance between work and free time made the experience even more special.
One of the most remarkable aspects of this experience was the transparency of the entire process. Knowing exactly where every donated penny went—because we were the ones managing and spending the funds—gave us a deep sense of trust and responsibility. It was truly fulfilling to see the direct impact of our contributions.
Looking back, I can only say that this journey was nothing short of extraordinary. I have found a second home and a new family on another continent, and for that, I am incredibly grateful. Seeing the project come to life and being part of something so meaningful has left a lasting impact on me.
I wholeheartedly recommend NimbleGrowth to anyone looking for a life-changing experience, and I sincerely hope to return one day to continue this beautiful journey
